Optional suggestions
Photo analysis and barcode/model input help suggest an item identity. Review the title, brand, model, category and condition before listing. The scanner cannot guarantee authenticity, function, safety, retail value or completeness. Photo recognition is wired but requires service configuration before it is available.
Your pricing formula
The starting suggestion is 80% of current retail for confirmed new/unused, 70% for like new, 60% for good/normal used and 40% for well-used functional items. Fast sell is 20% below the suggested price (80% of the suggested price). Bottom dollar is 70% of the suggested price. For $100 retail in good condition, those figures are $60, $48 and $42. Retail references can be seller-reported and are not automatically verified.
Learning and control
Haglr records quote versions and sale outcomes in its own pricing database. Qualified completed live sales may inform comparable-sale evidence; sandbox, unpaid, refunded and disputed sales are excluded from eligible learning. Current safeguards require enough independent buyers and sellers before market evidence appears. Sellers choose their prices and no estimate guarantees a sale.
Photo privacy
Use only item photos and details suitable to send to OpenAI. Avoid faces, documents, addresses and payment information. On the updated website, your account’s optional AI choice covers identification, price research and listing safety review until you turn it off in Privacy & AI. Choosing identification or research is separate from submitting a listing. Taking photos does not trigger OpenAI processing. Estimates and suggested descriptions may be wrong; review them before use.
